Server Providers

Post by blue_ice »

Hi,

I've been hosting Joinfs from home for a small group, however i'm looking at the possibility of using an external server provider. I was wondering if anyone is running this type of setup and could possibly recommend any providers. I'm a noob when it comes to servers  so any advice would be appreciated

Regards

We use TFDI for our webserver.
JFS is run on a different server, as is Teamspeak, and two other utilities.
Works VERY well for us.

Thanks for your reply, to be honest they never even crossed my mind. But given their knowledge of flight sim they seem a pretty good choice

It has, I think, to be a windows server. you could do it with a small windows capable single board computer. I did one once on a Latte Panda, and it worked beautifully with one proviso. Seeing it when its on you local network. if you can run it somewhere else, like at work, or such, it would be perfect. Management would be by Remote Desktop, which is how we do ours.
