Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
By private do you mean a JoinFS node that doesn't have the Hub box ticked in settings?
If so then yes it will.
You will need to tick the whazzup box in settings.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
This is ticked in the settings and I see a whazzup.txt in the appdata\local\joinfs\
But I only see the hub adresses and not our privat server.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
Why do you need the private node in that list? Aren't you just after the users/aircraft to display on a map?
I could add it if you need it.

Hi Peter,
Yes, we have also a webserver and would like to show the pilots/aircrafts.
We do you need to do so?

The list of aircraft should follow the line "!CLIENTS"

Is the webserver on your computer or a Webhost?PH-LCS wrote:Hi Peter,

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
We have a personal web server.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
In that case you'll need to either copy the whazzup file every x mins to a folder that is already available to the internet or share the AppData joinfs folder using your webserver software.
Once you have the whazzup.txt file available to the Web the map will be able to read it.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
Hi Roo,
Is it still possible to add the file whazzup.txt of our group "Les Copains d'Abord" to your JoinFS map?
If so, here is the address: http://map.lca-scenery.fr/whazzup.txt
Thank you !
Best regards,
Stéphane

I was unable to test as your hub appears Offline so let me know if all is OK.
Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
Thank you so much for adding LCa to your map.
I am connecting to my joinFS server but my plane don't show on the map.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
The JOINFS map will only show airborne aircraft.
If you're still not shown send me your server IP and I'll connect and see if my aircraft shows.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
Hi Again Mr. Roo!
Well the new JonFS server map is working great, but I have a question concerning the Google API key. simply, what do I need to do to get the Googel API key?
Again Thank you for your help,
Kenny.

Although it looks like the map works without an api key.
A year ago a key was needed.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
The latest test version has a new setting 'include global users' with the Whazzup file option. Enabling this option will populate your map with all aircraft on all JoinFS hubs.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
All showing on the main JFS map.
Because of this I have now removed the separate group whazzup files from the main map as you are now already shown.
So if you had setup a webserver purely to be seen on the main map you can now remove it.
Users of programs like Servinfo can get the data at http://roo.servebeer.com/jfs/status.txt
This will show all JoinFS users in your program.
Peter I noticed a new tick box in aircraft I think it was.
Does that enable aircraft using different hubs to be seen in a users sim?
Handy for ATC and lone pilots if it does.

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps
No, they will only show in the list. However, I'll add a way (probably a button) to connect to the same hub session as that aircraft/user.ATC Roo wrote: Does that enable aircraft using different hubs to be seen in a users sim?

And I'll also be adding a new button/mode on the main window that automatically joins the most appropriate hub based on your geographical location. As you fly it will switch hubs as necessary depending on the surrounding traffic so it effectively becomes a single world session.
