JoinFS has the option of scanning in "Misc" folder, where simple simobjects category
is stored.
Does JoinFS transmits this simple simobjects also ? Or just for finding any other objects
there from airplane & vehicle categories ?
Thank you.
Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
Hi Chris,
Yes, any object in the simulator world should be valid for broadcasting. Check the View|Objects list to see the objects in your area. And you can select which ones you wish to broadcast, for example, service vehicles.
Just let me know if you think there should be some objects that aren't shown in the object list.

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
I did a test as you described, but simple simobjects don't
"come up" in the objects list, ie, I don't have the choice of transmitting those.
Only Airplanes, Vehicles and Boats simobject categories.
An example of a simple simobject is "Water Drop" (in Misc folder). If this could be
transmitted, then people flying in Airfighting sorties, would be able to see the
water (attached effect to the simple simobject) that another user drops on fire...
There is also a "Paratroopers" similar simple simobject (not native FSX). Also "Air drop pallets"
(native FSX) and many others.
Your work is excellent anyway...

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
Interesting. What would be the best way for me to try one of these?
If these objects are exposed through SimConnect then we should be able to do it, otherwise it's unlikely.

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
I have tried with FSX@war, injecting ground targets, industrial, etc. But they are not being broadcasted
Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
Okay, I'll have to try setting this up here and see if I can get it working. Is it easy to set up ground targets? I've installed FSX@War but haven't used it yet.marte21 wrote:I have tried with FSX@war, injecting ground targets, industrial, etc. But they are not being broadcasted

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
Ok, I'll send you 4 x ready placed FSX@War simple simobjects, tomorrow morning,
for your tests.
Thank you.
for your tests.
Thank you.

Hi Peter,
Check your PMs for "JoinFS Simple objects testing". I hope this will help.

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?
I have found the problem and in fact all static objects are not currently being detected.
This will be fixed in version 1.1.7.
Thanks,
Peter
