Whazzup file when running from command line

Post by RandomThoughts »

Hi all,

I've set up JoinFS as a service on Windows Server 2012 so it can run unattended 24/7, so I'm effectively running it with command line options. I'd like to create a Whazzup file but there's no command line option to enable it. I did find that when JoinFS is set up as a service a new subset of registry entries are created, matching some of those that are created when JoinFS is run in the usual way. I replicated the three Whazzup entries from one registry block to the new one, but I'm still not getting a whazzup.txt file anywhere.

Anyone done this before? If you need more information please shout

Ok, I think I've got around the problem, need to do more testing before I call it fixed.

I created a dedicated user to run the JoinFS service under, I'm now getting the whazzup.txt file in the Appdata section for that user
