Yes , Al the xpack version is in the root Prepar3d V4\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib\SimConnect.msi double click , install and then restart the PC.

Re: SimConnect problem
I have installed the "Xpack version" of 10.0.61259.0, bringing my total to 4 versions of SimConnect client present at this time.TexxasAl wrote:ATC Roo wrote:Have you tried with the Xpack version of simconnect installed?

I'm guessing....
If you have more than one version installed, the latest version would be used?
Just a guess!
Re: SimConnect problem
Roo,
How would I find out which 'version' it's trying to use?

Re: SimConnect problem
I'm unable to have a look at the moment as my laptop threw a hardware fault, so I'm in the middle of rebuilding it (literally).
But Peter might have output the version being used to the log file?
Any SimConnect version you use later than the Xpack version SHOULD support an app written for the Xpack version, but to be honest I usually only have the XPack version of SimConnect installed.
I use FSX Steam and having the Steam SimConnect version and the Xpack version installed together has caused me similar issues in the past.

Re: SimConnect problem
If you remove all versions of SimConnect and start JFS it will ask for 10.0.61259.0, install it and run it again and says cannot connect..
and I repeat ...

Re: SimConnect problem
After reinstalling win!) without replacing date or apps the problem persisted , then I create a new Admin account , reinstalled P3D and now the same JFS install works OK (meaning I I always thought it was a win10 problem), more of the reason I would like to know the meaning of the message in the monitor about an unknown host, please ...
