I've just tried to update my server with 1.4.17 and when I run it nothing happens, there's nothing in the Windows Event Logs to show an error and I'm failing to find any log files generated by joinFS to give a hint as to what's wrong.
The computer is simply a server; there is no FSX, P3D or Xplane on it. 1.4.14 was working fine before the update.
What can I go look for to help get this up and running again?
It should run without SimConnect. I did that quite some time ago. I think this particular problem is the C++ Redist 14.1. I hadn't updated the installer with the correct one. Hopefully 1.4.18 will work.
Hi Peter,
Love this product first of all !! question: In x-plane in the latest rev. 1.4.18 i can't connect (green simulator button)...network goes green & works fine. If i revert back to 1.4.15 all is well. So for example, friend was on 1.4.14 , i was on 1.4.15, all was good both buttons green. Upgrade to .18 , no-go (he was still on 1.4.14) Everything was checked.... plug-ins all disabled that would matter.... ie - CloudFS, PilotEdge, smart-copilot (all the ones i normally disable to get it to work were disabled).
Should I make sure everyone is on 1.4.18 ? Or is there a new problem in .18 that needs to get fixed for x-plane. Slowly but surely spreading the word on your product!! Keep up the good work.
did you re-install the plugin? If you check the change log for 1.4.16 on the page that you downloaded it from, it says that you need to re-install the plugin from JoinFS Settings.
Yes, re-installed plug-in from settings , then reinstalled then shutdown and back in. no luck no matter what i tried with .18 tried using .14 today in x-plane and a couple of us using TBM 900's had major issues with all Garmins screens going blank white and the planes freezing for20 to 30 seconds and then continuing on with the blank white screens. When planes would lock up, they would start by having a blue circle on our screen for a while then continue , then do it again. This was with 6 of us doing a group flight 4 TBMs and 2 other misc. GA planes.
