Enter cockpit and engine stops

Post by Britjet »

Hello all,
Great program with tremendous flexibility and possibilities. Thanks!
I used JoinFS successfully with P3D V3 But having returned to it in V4.1 I am finding that if I ‘enter cockpit” on a recorded flight the engine on my aircraft stops, although the flight continues as per the recording.
I have tried with various default and non-default aircraft and the result is the same, except the default Be58, for some reason.
I have tried re-initialising the types in FSUIPC, as well as reinstalling JoinFS with the latest version.
Any suggestions much appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi Britjet,

thanks for the comments :)

This looks as though it is related to the other engine cut out problems that I've been trying to fix recently. One of the problems with that is that I've not been able to get the same problem myself. However your observations look promising in that it's a reliable way of repeating the problem.

I've just tried it here and unfortunately I haven't been able to repeat it.

Could you provide the precise steps you are doing in order to make the problem happen. They need to be very detailed step, for example:

1. Start P3D.
2. Start JoinFS
3. Select <aircraft>
4. select airport.
5. Load.
6. Start engine.
7. Start recording

...and so on.

Hopefully with the detailed steps I'll be able to reproduce the same problem.

Thanks,
Peter
