I am running P3Dv3 3.4.14.18870

When running the TEST or release version I get an error

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

The .NET verification tool confirms all my installations are ok, I have the following installed:
2.0 SP2
3.0 SP2
3.5 SP1
4 Client
4 Full
4.5, 4.51, 4.52
4.6,4.61,4.62
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joe

Re: .NET Framework exception
Hi Joe,
Interesting that a fresh Windows install caused it. It doesn't look like a .NET issue since it has got to that point in the program. It's possibly related to the Visual C/C++ libs. I do include the correct one in the JoinFS installer, but i wonder if there is a problem with it.
Could you try installing the C++ lib from Microsoft, here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downloa ... x?id=30679? I'd be interested to know if that works.
Best regards,
Peter

Re: .NET Framework exception (Resolved)
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your very quick response
I found the problem to be Simconnect, as this may be useful for others I navigated to my prepar3d/dist folder and installed all the simconnect modules and problem solved.
I've marked as resolved

Joe

Re: .NET Framework exception
Ah, well done, Joe. Seems so obvious now
There is a another thread with the same issue, I'll reply to that as well.
Steam users can install the required SimConnect module from <FSX>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-XPACK\SimConnect.msi
