Re: Multi PC Setup
You could remove those aircraft from the list and the simulator by ticking the 'ignore' option on the aircraft list. Or it might be better to do it by user in the session window. Select the other users and click ignore. This should remove any aircraft that are coming from the other instances of Join...

Re: Multi PC Setup
Ok, as I promised I made a short video illustrating the problem I described above. The YT video can be found at https://youtu.be/wj00PJgNnos. Maybe Peter can have a look on this. I really want to use joinfFS in the future, but it must be made sure that the views on my sim are not affected. Your vie...

Re: Multi PC Setup
I've no idea why your view changed in the flight sim. JoinFS doesn't do anything to manipulate your view. The only thing it can do to change your position is if you select another aircraft and choose Follow, but I assume you haven't used that. I can't think why your view would have changed?

Re: Some users can't connect to hub
In order for the hub to be seen there needs to be a valid internet IP address with a port that is somehow routed to the PC running JoinFS. Normally with a home router this happens automatically when connecting outwards, but will need some configuration to allow people connecting inwards. Not sure if...

Re: Multi PC Setup
Hi, Sure. Just run JoinFS on each machine. Create a session on one of them, and on the other machines just join the session you created. On a local setup, you can just specify the local IP address of the first machine and they will all be joined into the same session. You can share aircraft from oth...

Re: Some users can't connect to hub
Hi. It sounds very much as though they would benefit from enabling port forwarding on whatever routing hardware they have at their location. There are some link in the manual on how to set this up. Basically they need to configure the router that is actually connected to the internet to always use a...

Re: multiple aircraft types
After you have recorded there is nothing to stop you changing your aircraft in the simulator and then overdubbing the new aircraft with the old one in the recording. Shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Server vs Console
Hi, you could use either. SERVER has a graphical user interface with windows, console just runs in a console window or as a background process. So the question is do you want to use the UI and interact with it that way? If so then use SERVER, otherwise use the CONSOLE. The CONSOLE will take up less ...

Re: COM2_STBY_RADIO_SET syncing
Quick question related to this! With the new "PlaneCOMS.txt" file in both players setup A-A Tacan works fine but if the jet is Substituted with a different one it stops even when that jet also uses "PlaneComs.txt" any idea why? Ex. Both players are flying a T-38C and connected t...

Re: Aircraft 'Bouncing' on ground in MSFS 2020
Hi,
have you tried adjusting the ground height of the aircraft in the JoinFS Aircraft window. Select an aircraft, right click and choose Adjust Height. This will apply to all aircraft of that model. That may fix it. Ideally, you want to get the aircraft just above the ground.

Re: COM2_STBY_RADIO_SET syncing
Must have missed this post. It is off by default, but you can enable it by changing the variable files. In your Documents\JoinFS-FS2020 folder you should see a Variables folder. Make a copy of the plane.txt file, for example, planeCOMS.txt Find the lines that contain the COMs variables. There should...

Re: Antivirus issues
If you trust the file and folder then you need to add an exemption on that folder for the antivirus software. Not sure why Firefox would complain about it. I use firefox and don't have any problems downloading it. If you get a blue message box from Windows you can click on "More Info" and ...

helle Peter, what is the difference between this? https://iv.italianivolanti.it/lib/skins/locandine/1657569673-469960.JPG Hi, the original model column lists the aircraft names as seen in the simulator, plus a short list of default models. So the first one that you highlighted is a model called &qu...

Do you have the TCAS option enabled in the JoinFS settings?RandyC97402 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 11:09 pm This was exactly my question. I've been wondering what happened. Please post a note when you get this resolved. I'd really appreciate that. Does anyone know if I use an older version of LNM, would that work for now?

Re: Fix the recorder.
I just tried a recording of 1.5Mb in size. Worked fine. Can you give any more information on a case that doesn't work?
And is there anything shown in the logs when it crashes? Check the monitor window and enable the log files.

Re: Fix the recorder.
I just tried the following: Started MSFS2020, loaded up the C172 at an airport runway lined up. Run JoinFS. Connect to the simulator. Record for 5 seconds. Save recording. Restart JoinFS. Open the saved recording. The recorded C172 appears correctly without any issues. Are you able to repeat the abo...

Re: Fix the recorder.
Which simulator are you using? Which aircraft are you recording? What is the simplest scenario you have where it is crashing? For example, on the tarmac, record for a few seconds. Save. Open and play back causes a crash? Does it only happen when playing back from a saved file? Does it always work if...
