Http://Canyouseeme.org is also a very good tool.
It will tell you if your router and firewalls are allowing people from outside your network to see your server.

Re: ATC with JOINFS (Please Read Again!)
I use Euroscope and have setup FSD networks. Euroscope will not connect to JFS just by pointing it to a JFS node or through a proxy as somebody mentioned above. I know because I've just tried incase we were lucky. ;) I have contacted the developer of Euroscope in the past and he was very helpful. Ma...

Re: ATC with JOINFS (Please Read Again!)
In an ideal world it would be nice if Euroscope could work with JoinFS. Maybe a Euroscope addon could be created that shows all aircraft in a users Simulator or an interface to connect directly to a join fs node (maybe one for a dev with no project)? Realistically there are radar programs out there ...

Re: Installing ver 14 and 20 simultaneously
For the Cross Community Event the STABLE version that is the latest on the day will be used. For 2 reasons. 1. Everybody knows which version is in use. 2. It's the PROVEN STABLE client. Peter I would imagine has stable and test versions for the reasons they are named. The Stable version is... well s...

As Peter says..
You can install both at the same time, I do this.
The event will run on the Stable version that is available on the day.

Re: Radar Custom callsign
Hi Ben, I'm very busy at the moment but will get time to experiment at the weekend. "I also got around the issue of the nickname not showing on radar by opening all my aircraft .cfg files and made sure that atc_id= , atc_airline= and atc_flight_number= had nothing after them." Basically se...

Re: Recording formations with JoinFS
Hey Roo, unfortunately with the position lag on JoinFS(far less severe than vPilot, but still existent of about 3-5 feet at 400 Knots) it would be very difficult for the team to fly any formation we would be proud of. We would have to work out a way to all get on multiplayer, and sign on individual...

Re: JoinFS Multiplayer Map
Peter if you can create a file like the whazzup.txt file for FSD servers, then maps and apps have already been created to use such a file.
I can send you a whazzup.txt if you would like to look at one.

Re: About double connection (JoinFS+IVAO)
Tisor, This sounds similar to the problem I have with Radar. Try opening the model your using in FSX or P3D and make sure the Airline Callsign is set to none and the flight number is blank. See if that removes the extra aircraft? The problem is if no airline and Flight number are sent into the sim, ...

Re: Radar Custom callsign
Played about with this a lot last night. I initially thought that atc_id would show the airline and number if they were set and a reg if they were not. It doesn't, atc_id is always the reg. I edited my radar display to only show atc_id and not the airline and Flight number and the Nicknames were alw...

Re: Aircraft type
Full aircraft title wouldn't work Peter as the type is also displayed on the radar screen as well as the radar session info. If you see the screen in the picture above you can see C172 next to the destination. The aircraft type ICAO found in the aircraft.cfg would probably work best thinking about i...

Re: Aircraft type
That maybe helpful but to be honest it would mean minimising my Radar screen (which is usually in full screen mode) to look for details in the client. And the type would still be incorrect on radar. I'll try and explain this better using the picture below. https://fsxtimes.files.wordpress.com/2011/1...
