Remove aircraft from Recording from current flight?

Peter: A few of us from Hovercontrol flew using JoinFS today. It was great fun as usual. One thing did occur that I have a question about. One of our guys did multiple recordings, thus, creating several recorded aircraft. These aircraft showed up in the aircraft list when selected from the View menu...

Re: Phantom Aircraft at 250,000ft - 0Kts

Peter: I flew yesterday and joined a hub with another helicopter active on the hub. I noticed that I too had the phantom aircraft at 250K and 0 kts hanging around. I do not have TacPac installed on my system. I checked the JoinFS setting to ensure the TacPac selection was not checked. Not certain wh...

Re: LM P3DV4 64 bit

Good to hear. Thanks. One more questions, when viewing the hubs that are online it is not possible to identify the closest airport to where the active flyers are flying. Is display of the closest airport possible? It would certainly make it much easier to join a group.

LM P3DV4 64 bit

If P3DV4 is indeed 64 bit, is there going to be a problem using JoinFS?

Peter: Thanks for your concern about security. Much appreciated. I don't use that addon for that very reason.

Re: 0.11 EdAv test

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, I did indeed ensure the "show nickname instead of callsigns" selection was checked. I even left the sim, came back in, and, it still didn't work. Small thing overall. All three of us were flying P3D and it didn't display for any of us. The display showed ...

Re: 0.11 EdAv test

Peter: When you say "hide the Vpilot aircraft" are you meaning the multiplayer aircraft being broadcast by being connected to Vatsim? Wouldn't that prohibit us from seeing participants who are flying with us, but, using Vatsim as their server? By the way, I forgot to let you know that duri...

Re: 0.11 EdAv test

Interesting. So, if some of the flyers are connected to JoinFS only, some are connected to Vatsim only, and, some are connected to both, this method will combine the planes from both server connections for a composite multiplayer display? If so, that is cool.

Re: 0.11 EdAv test

Marte: Ok. How do you actually use both? Do you establish a connection using and IP address via JoinFS and then another one using Vpilot? If so, how do establish the connection using Vpilot (IP, server name?)? When I use Vpilot to connect to VATSIM/BVA I use the USA West Server selection. If you use...

Re: 0.11 EdAv test

Diego:

I use VATSIM Vpilot as well, to fly online with BVA. I am curious why and how you used JoinFS and Vpilot together. What does using them together do?

0.11 Test Version - First Multiplayer Flight for me

Peter: Couple of my sim buddies and I did a short flight tonight with helos. We are helo simmers more the most part. Anyway, flight went really pretty well. Very low latency across the three sims. We did have a model matching issue with a couple helo models where the rotors weren't presented as turn...

Re: Weather update bug.

I can certainly see the weather update being a problem for precision formation flight. However, if one is flying cross-country or for a period greater than 30 minutes or so with a group it would be much more realistic to have periodic weather updates. For the type of flying I enjoy, I would prefer a...

New to JoinFS - P3DV3.4.9 User

Just tried JoinFS with my P3dV3.4.9 sim. Used the .11 test version and it seemed to work well. Didn't have a chance to fly with anyone, however, I did use the record and playback functions. I am impressed. Look forward to testing with other simmers. I have extensive experience using DafWings, FSINN,...
