Re: US Central Events
Apologies. Appears default FSX does not have those airports. I have always used Orbx, so I will need to verify those airports exist next time!

Re: US Central Events
Gentlemen, We'll be doing a flight tomorrow, May 26th, 2017, from Mandeville Aerodrome NZVL to Ryan's Creek Aerodrome NZRC. This is just a casual flight for fun :D . I recommend using a single or twin turbo prop aircraft. If you would like to participate, join the US Central Hub on joinFS and meet u...

Re: US Central Event - Warbirds Fly-In at KMSN
Good flight, guys, and a valuable lesson learned for me to check the undercarriage light. Although whether or not it is better to know that your right gear has failed to drop is debatable. Peter Very unfortunate that happened, Peter! If you don't have a good external view of your gear, ask one of u...

Re: Multiplayer Voice
ATC Roo,
I've always liked using SimCom, but the last version I found that you had available was 3.1.0.1. When I download and try to install, it says it is win32 in red and I cannot install it.

Re: Multiplayer Voice
There used to be a very nice plugin for Teamspeak that, when the active com frequency changed in FSX, it would move you to the Teamspeak channel labeled with that frequency. I think it was called SimCom or something. As far as I know it's never been updated, so it's no longer compatible with the cur...

Re: Example of JoinFS overdub recording.
Hi all, I just put together a short example of overdub recording in JoinFS. https://youtu.be/geRBaNFqtBI Took about an hour of flying, an hour of video recording and an hour of editing. Time well spent, I think. :) Peter Well done, Peter. I'm going play around with this a bit more. I've only record...

I'd like to join in with this one. It'll be at midnight for me though, but with a few cups of coffee I might just manage it.

Re: joinFS Multiplayer Group
Well, I thought it would be a good idea since US Central fully supports joinFS and there may be some players out there that may be looking for a multiplayer group.edakridge wrote:Good idea to advertise here Jack!

Re: Collision Damage
My concern about this, is that in this case, even just one Tacpack bullet will be enough for the full damage on another plane - while Tacpack calculates accumulative damage. Only matters if you're the unlucky one caught in the crosshairs :D At least it would be something that could be a starting po...

Re: Collision Damage
Yes, a missile would probably make sure of it. :D I think this may well be possible, it appears that I can set the engine damage from 0-100%. I can use a little bit of math to accurately detect the collision, well, it really depends what kind of object extent data I can get hold of, but it should w...

Re: Chat function
Scenarios... There are 2 people using JoinFS. Both are using different hubs hosted by different groups. Both of these people have selected to be shown to other users (the one world scenario) as other members of their groups are not online. Neither person knows which group the other is a part of. Ho...

US Central Events
Gentlemen, This will just be an open event for flying some good ol' Warbirds. Every year, the Dane County Regional Airport hosts a Warbirds weekend, where restored aircraft from the CAF and many other organizations present their aircraft. On Friday, April 21st, 2017, at 6:00pm CST, we will be flying...

Re: Chat function
Gentlemen, I believe that joinFS has become one of the best, if not most essential, addons ever created for flight sim. Mostly, it's because Peter has listened to the community, and has added many, if not all, of the features people have suggested. IMO, I think adding chat may be a bit redundant whe...

Hi Jack, can you explain how you do this ? "I had to share the AI Carriers CVN and VEH files by going into the view, objects menu, locating them, and clicking the share button. Once thats done, everyone else that has AI Carriers installed can see where the carrier group is placed.' I assume vi...

Re: Collision Damage
Traditionally, any sort of collision would just freeze your aircraft, display CRASH, at the top of the screen, and reset your flight. Not realistic at all, and frankly it's just annoying :x . Over the weekend, I was thinking about collisions in FSX. During our group flights, we're never worried abou...
