Re: 1.4.35 and weather
You may have a point there about the SIM getting weather itself from a non VATSIM source however I thought the live weather feed FSX used had been turned off. I now have no idea what happens

Re: Test version 1.4.35 error
I pointed mine at h:\fs2020 the folder the game is installed to, i.e. the one the Community folder sits in. Does your complex path point to the same folder via a different route?

Re: 1.4.35 and weather
I know that my point was how does it inject the weather in to FS2020? I'm of course assuming the fact I'm running joinFS on FS2020 doesn't stop it getting weather settings from P3D/FSX which worked before.

Re: JFS 1.4.35 and MSFS2020 observation/query
I'm running FS2020 from my H: drive and the joinFS 1.4.35 connects and shows other aircraft fine.

Re: 1.4.35 and weather
Weather transfer fails both directions so I guess SimConnect is not accepting METAR data either? Wonder what VATSIM do with their client.
Thanks for looking

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
@BG2518-Bob, not sure what version of PlanG I'm using, will check and report back, but it was working fine for me last night. Well a little too well as I had the ground vehicles at the airfield all showing up in addition to my multiplayer friends.

1.4.35 and weather
I suspect you're aware of this Peter but just in case you're not.
It doesn't seem possible to copy weather to or from FS2020 and someone running P3D. I suspect it's not unique to P3D but that's all I could try last night. Not hugely important but it's a nice feature you had previously.

Re: Test version 1.4.35 error
I installed both the launcher and FS2020 to my H: drive and didn't see any asserts during the model matching although I did see my own funnies. It maybe you just ignore this Peter as I had previously played with getting the previous version of joinFS to work. I therefore had a few extra folders ente...

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
That's interesting news Grumpy, when I managed to get joinFS to see a FS2020 aircraft so that I could complete the model matching process I still couldn't see any other aircraft in game or on LittleNavMap. Could you be more specific about one of the additional folders you added please?

Re: Connection Being Dropped
We had a user in our group who exhibited this behaviour the solution was for him to connect via one the free VPN's that are around. I'm sure that trick was suggested here for similar issues ages ago.

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
I found the aircraft folders in the beta and by copying some files around managed to get joinFS to find an aircraft so I could get it to complete the model matching process but still none of my fellow players got displayed in game. One problem with joinFS and P3D now is there can be multiple simobje...

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
With the announcement that FS2020 is released in August the 18th having joinFS working would be super awesome great
Was it a substitution problem or is there a problem just now?

Reasons for "Removed User"
So I've been playing tonight with 2 computers on my LAN. At the moment neither have any flight sim software but both have joinFS 1.4.34 installed. One is intended to be a server, it's actually been doing this for a number of months, the other I've been using just to test things out connection wise. ...

Re: join locally
Works OK for me although I may have over complicated things. I have an instance of a server running and had 2 clients all running at the same time. Each uses a different local port (see joinFS settings) The server needs a Port Forwarding rule on the router so others external to me can find it but I'...
