Re: Not really a bug? A2A Texan

Hey Peter, it's sent!

I sent you the two ship version since even it is 1.4 MB. The three ship is 2.1 and thought that might be pushing it. Also sent it to your other e-mail since we have that spam problem for some reason.

Flying isn't the best, but racing visuals are way cool!

Cheers!

Re: Not really a bug? A2A Texan

I was trying some A2A Texan recording at Reno just now and noticed the same thing. What happens for me is I'm fine until I go to change planes and select the Texan. It seems to crash when selecting the Texan when JoinFS is running. A way around it is to select your Texan and then open JoinFS. Then y...

Re: JoinFS multiplayer event 22 October 2016, 2100 EDT

Sorry I missed it but real life got in the way here. On the rubber banding and connection issues, is RTT the same as ping in the network window? Maybe setting background color to red or green for those dropping packets or with long ping times? While there isn't much cure for bad network issues betwe...

Re: Port Forwarding in South Africa

There are a few reasons that they might do that. A lot of services can be risks to the network if Improperly configured or compromised. They may have gateway protections and watch for priveliged port traffic. They may also want revenue or up-charge to open ports - depends on if there is an outright ...

Re: 1.0.6 Timing Bug(?) & Possible Workaround

Hey Peter - just FYI, my workaround does indeed work and works perfectly. If you want to overdub, just open the saved file. That will also start playback. Stop playback and get your plane ready, move where you want it, etc. Then when you are ready, click overdub. That also starts playback again back...

1.0.6 Timing Bug(?) & Possible Workaround

Hey Peter, I was trying to record a multiship flight and found a timing bug. Easy to reproduce too. Basically what is happening is all overdubs are having their origins at t=0 even if you started the overdub late in the playback of a previous recording. The result is that if you are trying to fly cl...

Re: JoinFS multiplayer event 15 October 2016, 2100 EDT

Hey Roo, probably better to join the MSFlights.net Discord channel for the next event. People change their nicknames to append their IP address and you can just pick any of those to join in. Check the MSFlights.net website for the next scheduled event but with it going as well as it did last night, ...

Re: Inconsistent inability to see other users.

Hey Karl, I was looking at that group flight and tried to get the discord channel set up but the link had expired. Where are you going to set up the flight and what planes? @Peter: I was trying to set up with another guy this morning and we had been able to see each other before and his plane even s...

Canopies and Slight Jitters

Hey Peter, I've noticed that canopies when playing back A2A planes like the Texan and P-47 open and close repeatedly and constantly when they were in the open position for the actual flight. When I close the canopy it shows properly closed and stays closed in playback. This is all in record/playback...

Re: Multiplayer with Aircraft Substitution

Hey Peter,

How about the .jfs files from saved flights - are those compatible between these versions?

Regards,
Robert

Re: Multiplayer with Aircraft Substitution

Hey Peter, I was just posting what someone else said on another forum. It's working great for me other than the double quotes thing and I'm still on 0.4.2.

I pulled down 1.0.0 but haven't been using it yet. Is it file compatible with 0.4.2? If so I'll switch to using that.

Multiplayer with Aircraft Substitution

http://www.avsim.com/topic/495925-joinfs-multiplayer/page-3#entry3493490 Not my post but a heads-up: Regarding aircraft substitution: A pilot joined the session in an aircraft I did not have. The aircraft list showed the aircraft as the default Cessna 172 (blue and white, I believe) and when I click...

Re: Bug List

Hey Peter, tried multiplayer today and it worked great except for the twist at the top of the loop bit on 0.4.2. I sent you an email but got a spam filter message. At any rate, looks like you are already on it.

Way fun stuff!
