Re: JoinFS Map & MSFS
I updated my hub to 1.5.4 on the weekend. I also updated my flight sim PC's to 1.5.4. When we ran a group flight on Sunday I saw that my aircraft still had the nasty looking model info. I tried a test today. I loaded MSFS and then started JoinFS. The C172 says : /TTATCCOM.AC_MODEL C172.0.text I then...

JoinFS Map & MSFS
Hello, I am using V1.5.3 on a Windows 10 system to keep a hub based map. It has been working for several years without issue. Now that MSFS is part of the equation I am noticing that the aircraft details in the whazzup.txt file are more complex for MSFS aircraft. Is there a way to clean this up so t...

Re: Aircraft list information
We do not necessarily spend much time looking at the aircraft list save for wanting to make substitutions so from my standpoint whatever you do is fine but it would be wonderful if things were to change that a clickable spot on an aircraft line could be there to ease making substitutions.

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
Hello Again Peter, I read you reply and did some more testing today with v1.51 For the matter of models I can say that if I change a model in one MSFS sim the other MSFS sim does not necessarily see that model automatically. It does appear that previous sessions that had models matched remembered th...

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
Hello Peter, I am most pleased that you have managed to get JoinFS to this point. Today I installed 1.50 on my "Hub". I also installed 1.50 on a few of my test PC's; FSX, P3D, XP11.50, MSFS (Store) & MSFS Steam. For the most part things appear to be working quite well. What I am not se...

Re: P3D v5 Compatibility
For what it is worth....
I run a hub 1.4.34
We have X-Plane 11.50, FSX, FSX-SE, P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 all seemingly working together.
No changes necessary JoinFS seems to like P3Dv5... so far

Re: 1.4.20 - Whazzup
Hi, Today I installed the newest test version 1.4.23 and proceeded to review how FSX-SE, P3D v4.4 and XP 11.30 behaved together. My hub was tested on a closed LAN with each client having its own port. I used a C172 as my test aircraft as it is common to all my sims. Generally the FSX and P3D systems...

Re: 1.4.20 - Whazzup
Thanks Peter,
I shall tread carefully.
I still use 1.4.18 as my central hub and source for my map although I am using 1.4.20 on some test clients.

1.4.20 - Whazzup
I installed this newer version today over an existing 1.4.18 on my club hub. When started the whazzup file was being updated but none of the clients appeared in the file although it appeared that the client count was being updated I uninstalled and put 1.4.18 back in and the whazzup file then starte...

XPlane 11 / FSX-SE Test
Hello, Today I completed a test flight with another member of my flying club. The purpose was to determine if the most recent version of JoinFS (1.4.12) allowed XPlane 11 and FSX to play together and if they liked each other or not. The default Cessna 172 was used. The XPlane plugin is dated 1/30/20...

JoinFS Hub Address
Hello, I provide a JoinFS hub for my flying club. For some time I have been populating the Hub address with the external IP that is provided by my ISP. Is is possible to use the full DDNS URL that others use to connect instead of using this DHCP address that can change? Thanks for your consideration...

Ver 1.4.10 - Map Details Now Showing
I thought I would mention that I have updated my hub from ver 1.4.9 to 1.4.10 today and now the whazzup details match those sent from the client.
The Dep/Arr and Squawk values are once again showing on the map.
Many thanks for this Peter !

Re: Ver 1.4.9
I am not sure what 1.4.6 has to do with it but no matter. I (and my club members) had stayed with 1.4.3 until yesterday as that was the "stable" version. I only updated because the client popped up a notification of a new version. Nonetheless I will instruct all participants to upgrade to ...
Ver 1.4.9
Hello, I have just updated from ver 1.4.3 on my hub server. After updating I also changed one of my clients to use the same version. Upon connecting I checked the site web page and saw that there was no squawk nor flight plan shown. I went to another older PC and tried from there using an older vers...

Re: Dropped connections
Hello Again, This last Sunday we had another group flight. I had asked my friend in France to have his JoinFS up to date at v1.3.3 as well as to check the "Low bandwidth" client option. I also had set myself up to have a unique UDP port that was port forwarded thru my router to the flight ...

Re: Dropped connections
Thanks for the clarification Peter,
I have now changed the ports used by my test internal clients so that they all use a different port.
These udp ports are forwarded on return via the router to their respective local LAN addresses and ports.
I shall test and see how this setup functions.
