Okay, I'll have to try setting this up here and see if I can get it working. Is it easy to set up ground targets? I've installed FSX@War but haven't used it yet.

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?

Interesting. What would be the best way for me to try one of these?

If these objects are exposed through SimConnect then we should be able to do it, otherwise it's unlikely.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure

Are you both using the same virus scanner? I'm just wondering if that has anything to do with it.

pressing F5 or Ctrl+F5 would probably have worked as well. I often have to do that just after uploading the new page.

Re: Are simpleobjects broadcasted also ?

Hi Chris, Yes, any object in the simulator world should be valid for broadcasting. Check the View|Objects list to see the objects in your area. And you can select which ones you wish to broadcast, for example, service vehicles. Just let me know if you think there should be some objects that aren't s...

Re: number of players

Hi Joop, The number of pilots in JoinFS is unlimited (largest I've witnessed so far is around 70 pilots during last year's Christmas event). If you see dropped pilots, have a look at View|Monitor for anything unusual and watch the View|Nodes window to see which pilots have unusual port numbers (five...

Re: Alternative Port Numbers

Hi Frank, ports can only be used by one program at a time. So once a program has opened it then any other program will get an error saying that it is already in use. It may be that you ran JoinFS twice, in which case the second time would show the error message because the port is already open. Anot...

Ah, yes, you must have "Always on Top" enabled in the Settings.

I've just fixed this. Will be okay in 1.1.6.

Thanks,

I'm unable to repeat this with the latest version. Do you have any more details? Has it done it again at all? Was there anything else that looked wrong at the time?

Re: Suggestion: Elevation Correction

Thanks, I'll probably go along with, if you are 'on the ground' then all other 'ground' aircraft nearby are set to the same ground level. That should cover the worst of it.

No, you don't need to, it's only there for your information, to allow others to join you. JoinFS remains fully functional even when the MyIP box is empty.
