Re: Is JoinFS working in X-Plane 11 for anyone?

In answer to the original poster. Yes, we have had a session on our hub with FSX Box and SE, XP11, P3dv4 all at the same time. With all simulators, we have established the procedure of getting the sim "up" on the ground, and THEN run JFS. Differences? Height only, b ut we know why, all sim...

Re: Possible X-plane bug.

I have done that. I like to have a small amoumt of ground and sea traffic, it adds to the ambience. (I have been looking for a use for that word for ages) The debugging was the easy bit, Peter, the WHY is the hard bit. We have a very good team at FBW, we are all friends, as well as Flight simmers. Re: Possible X-plane bug.

Peter, we solved it!! Hip, hip, hooray!! Its MY fault. See this pix? https://i.imgur.com/6LfzV2Nl.jpg The lead up. Raymond started the ball rolling by getting everybody to close JFS down, disconnect from PlanG and at his request, log back in one at a time. Everything was cool, until I returned from ...

Re: Possible X-plane bug.

Hi Bob, Well, if anything he's not short of company on the flight. But, seriously, you started talking about Tom, but then switched to Steve. Did you mean it was Tom with X-Plane that was having the problem. Just need to make sure that it was the X-Plane guy with the problem. Tom is Xplane Steve is...

Possible X-plane bug.

Peter, a new thing has happened. All but one of our team are FSX-SE users, except Tom, who has gone over to the dark and murky side of X-Plane All was well, Tom is a clever guy, and did everything al lright, plugin installed and yes, we see him, he sees us and so on and so on. I am not familiar with...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application

Question in regards to the firewall, in the window firewall there is an entry for SIMCOM_X Server selected only for private. Does the public side need to be checked also? or do I need to create an inbound and outbound rule for port 9988? I would (and have/do) personally open both Private and Public...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application

We are now 3, Grumpy, Raymond and Stevie. We did not get an advisory of the update from SCM X on initial start. We are using version V0.1.0.2 Where do we get THAT version? Still working with .0.2 After lots of buggerising about, and not actually getting anywhere, Experimentation lead us to... shutti...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application

Here is an explanation of what the App should do. https://dotdash.space/scx/ Quite unashamedly copied and posted on flybywires.net web site forum. (Plagiarism has never really bothered me!!!) Roo, we are going to embrace this, for we can see many benefits to the flightsim community. -.- . . .--. .....

Re: Gamespy on Steam

I played with this a while ago. Our latest project is to have a Gamespy server (yeah, I know, its on steam) but you all know what I am talking about. This server then logs onto our JFS Hub. So you have a Steam multiplayer server showing in the Steam Lobby? Yes You also have JoinFS running on the sa...

Gamespy on Steam

Hey, guys Our latest project is to have a Gamespy server (yeah, I know, its on steam) but you all know what I am talking about. This server then logs onto our JFS Hub. So far, mixed success. The Gamsepy server is on the same LAN as Raymond. He has to be on the JFS hub, as Stream wont allow him to lo...

Re: Email / text messages

I have no problem with guests, of course, what I would like is to be able to inhibit their use of AI traffic. Its a requirement within our group to turn AI off. More testing on FSXSE Steam Server to see what we can do there. I shall start my session tomorrow, by hosting a session within Steam Gamesp...

Email / text messages

A crazy thought, How difficult would it be to create a text option to JFS? Text? Yeah, the guys that use both FSXSE or another multiplayer AND JFS. Text them to make a choice. Yes, I know, just ignore them. That does work, until more come in . If I could track them down somehow, and email them to ad...

Re: Weather

One of our members was flying on the "Steam" server hosted by Easternhops, and also joined our hub. Instant AI all over the place. Log off EAS and the AI disappeared. In that case... Make sure that member has the auto broadcast UNTICKED. I asked Peter for the Auto Broadcast at the start a...

Re: Weather

Hi Grumpy Unfortunately Peter did not account for idiots on the internet and therefore he never implemented a session password. So anybody that knows the hub ip and the port number it uses (or the ip of any session member) can join a session. There is noting you can do to exclude anybody except you...

Re: Weather

Cant answer that Roo, Not familiar with FSHosts now.

There is one other thing, I dont mind people using our hub, in fact, I actively encourage them, but I wish there was some way of stopping them from littering the sky and killing our frame rates with AI traffic. Have you any ideas?

Weather

I was wondering.... Is it possible, I was wondering, whether or not we can set the weather? Say, at Hub level, so we can set the hub, and if you want to fly on the Flybywires hub, you will get OUR weather!! Why? Sometimes we do crazy things, like set a 40 knot crosswind, and fly only to airports tha...

Re: New Feature Requests

Regarding having a controlled enviroment. Whilst maybe having a box to disable new joins might work, my concern would be if you want to allow somemore people into the session. It would mean unchecking the box, allowing the user to join then locking the session down again, I know password protected ...
