Hi Kenny,
If you see a discrepancy in the elevation you just need to select the aircraft in question in the aircraft window. Right-click and select 'Adjust Height' where you can correct the plane to match your scenery. JoinFS will remember this setting for all aircraft using that model.

Re: JoinFS and changing IP number
I should be able to fix this by rechecking the IP address regularly. Although it can't be too frequent because is uses the services of an external website which may have a limit, but I will give it a go.

Re: Unable to see public hub in list
If you are using more than one instance of JoinFS behind the same router then you will need to set up port forwarding. There are some details about this in the manual. Basically you need to set your hub machine to use a static IP address, change the port in the JoinFS settings and then set a port fo...

Re: JoinFS and changing IP number
Hi Derek,
Do you mean that your router's public IP address is changing?
I think usually a router will keep an IP address unless it is restarted. Are you switching it off every night?

Re: CTD of MSFS
It may be related to the frequency of position updates. Did you have a lot of network aircraft in the simulator at the time?
Was there any clue in the JoinFS log file in <user>\AppData\Local\JoinFS\log ?
Was this v3.2.8 or v3.2.10?

Re: Volunteer required (macOS)
v3.2.11 has a fix for the backslash character so all files should now have the correct paths.
The settings should still be in a file called user.config somewhere on the system. I will check tomorrow to see if I can find it.

Re: JoinFS arrives on the Raspberry Pi
Hello Pierre and thank you for your valuable advice. I installed JoinFsConsole on a raspberry and it works, I see the hub I created in the list, I can connect and I see my plane in the list of devices, however my friends do not see my hub in the list I would also like to know in which directory of ...

Re: JoinFS arrives on the Raspberry Pi
If I stop and restart the service the log also shows the port is already in use, but this seems to be a spurious error as the service still manages to connect to it and clients can still join. How are you restarting the service? I wonder if it is not going through the proper shutdown procedure. The...

Re: Volunteer required (macOS)
I wonder if the Mac version of DotNet is only using a temporary file for the settings. In fact it might not actually be using any saved file at all and the settings are reset every time you run it. I will do a bit of research on this. I can see one problem to start with on those file names above. I ...

Re: Use of ESJFS since the split of applications
Thanks for getting in touch. Just wondering why ESJFS doesn't like the folder JoinFS-FSX, is it because of the hyphen, or is ESJFS only looking for a JoinFS folder and nothing else?
It may be that ESJFS just needs a slight modification to look in the right folder.

Oh, ok, I will check this out then. I assumed it was related to the recent changes of the last few months, but I can check if each version keeps removing the subs.

Re: X-Plane: Bogus model variations offered for C172
Hi, yes you are right, some models do seem to have a missing ICAO. That's really the fault of the model maker neglecting that information. I could add a different catch-all instead of C172, however I don't really think that solves anything. You still end up with a list of non typed models. It's a fa...

Re: Custom model matching config wiped after each update
It should only get wiped if the model names had changed for some reason. It doesn't get wiped with each update. When the model scanning changed recently the names were different which meant losing the substitutions. The other time would have been when installing JoinFS-XPLANE. You might possibly fin...
