Small Request re Main Dialog
I've been caught out a few times with this myself but a couple of other people have commented on it to me too. On the main dialog you type in the server to join and often peoples immediate next step is to press Enter. But the default for the dialog is then Auto Join and you go connect to a 'random' ...

Re: 1.4.3 quiting straight after loading
Darn it Peter you're so quick - I know what the problem is. I didn't have a working network connection. Laptop reported being connect via Wifi to the router but actually there was no connection. So minor issue but it's be nice is joinFS said no "network, quitting" rather than just stopping...

1.4.3 quiting straight after loading
Yesterday I was using joinFS on my laptop connected to FSX:SE. Tonight I'm trying to run it, I briefly see the windows I had open before then it quits.
I had a look in appdata\local\joinFS but no files are time stamped today. Is there a log I can see that might indicate what's going wrong?

Re: Xplane bad position on the map
I was using joinFS again last night in XPlane 11 and got a few large pauses in game when moving around. Immediately that happened I was 3,088 miles away from everyone else on the aircraft view. After these pauses all returned to normal on its own. There is something strange going on here on occasions.

Model Matching Browse Broken in 1.4.2
If you do an install on a new computer the program hangs when the browse button is pressed in model matching. Happened with me last night but I forgot to report it. Just been reminded as someone else in the group had the problem tonight.
I solved it by typing the path in rather than browsing for it.

Re: Xplane bad position on the map
Having said what I just did I was playing P3Dv4 and XPlane11 tonight and got the thing confused. All aircraft where at Bristol EGGD but at some stage XPlane seemed to move ~3000 miles away. I disconnected the Network and Simulator, I restarted joinFS without any joy. I had to quit XPlane and resume ...

Re: Xplane bad position on the map
I'm sure I've seen other aircraft at 0,0 when they've got the game paused. This was with FSD based servers, wouldn't be surprised in joinFS displays the same way as that's what the sim is telling it.

Re: Some mixed sim testing with 1.3.2
including picnic who had an FSX and a P3D instance sat on the same LAN. Who had X-Plane 11 and P3D on the same LAN ;) I did ensure my 2 computers had different local ports but I didn't have port forwarding enabled to either of them (I forgot :() Things did indeed work very well last night. Great jo...

Re: Some mixed sim testing with 1.3.2
Thanks Peter, I'll give it a whirl. Probably tomorrow evening, something else on tonight I'm afraid. Normally you don't need to setup port forwarding for a single client, I guess you somehow open up a connection. Might I get away with just specifying different client ports and keeping the forwarding...

Re: Some mixed sim testing with 1.3.2
My address is 03087 51997:6113. The server is running at the moment if you wanted to try it. I had a virtual PC running the 'master' JoinFS and 2 clients locally on the LAN, one XP one P3D. When joining the server from the clients I used the local IP address and port 6113. So 192.168.22.22:6113. I e...

Some mixed sim testing with 1.3.2
I setup a virtual PC tonight and installed 1.3.2 in to it running on Port 6113. No sim or anything. Then did some testing, I had a PC with P3D and a separate PC with XP 11 (Steam) running on it, both also had 1.3.2 installed. These connected to the server using a local IP. I then had 2 friends conne...

Injection of planes between FSD and JoinFS (mixed network)
Very impressed with what you've done here Peter :) Great work. I fly with a group that has it's own dedicated FSD based server but we have virtual pilots who insist on using XPlane or FS9   so no global switch to joinFS for now. So I was playing last night trying to see if the broadcast f...
