I've just found one bug that may be causing this. But I'm also able to repeat another related bug. Once I've sorted that one out, I'll get another version together.

Peter

Re: Inconsistent inability to see other users.
Hi Karl, one possibility is that you may not all be running the same version. If you try connecting 0.4.2 with 1.0.0 or later then you won't see the other aircraft. I'm trying to keep the versions as compatible as possible, but in this particular case they won't see each other. So I would suggest th...

Re: Amber network
I've seen something similar to this before when different versions are used to connect to each other. The client should reject connections if the versions are incompatible. However, even when the another version is tried immediately afterwards it still failed. It's almost as though there were still ...

Re: Weather
I have noticed that the flaps of other player jitter when they are full out. Maybe you can have a look at this and do something. I do not know how much smoothing you have already programmed to avoid jumps of other aircrafts. Hi Charles, Someone else mentioned the flaps today. I think it is more to ...

1.0.1-TEST is now up on the website, http://pmem.uk/joinfs/development.html
I've removed the potential cause of the problem.
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Multiplayer with Aircraft Substitution
Hey Peter, I was just posting what someone else said on another forum. It's working great for me other than the double quotes thing and I'm still on 0.4.2. I pulled down 1.0.0 but haven't been using it yet. Is it file compatible with 0.4.2? If so I'll switch to using that. I'm going to release 1.0....

Re: V 1.0.0(Test) Crashes P3D
Thanks, guys, for the information. I think it's some extra SimConnect code that I added in 1.0.0.
I'm going to remove it in 1.0.1, which will hopefully be out later today.
Thanks,
Peter

Thanks, I suspect it is the waypoint code that I added. I'll remove this in version 1.0.1.karl wrote:I was with Travis when he was having issues with it. It crashed every time he ran v1.0 and did not crash at all when we used v0.42.

Re: New Feature List
Hi Olly, If you've been tempted back to the cockpit then I must say this little project must be working. Well, I'm certainly considering MacOS and linux at this stage. They haven't quite made it onto the 'new feature list' yet as I need to investigate it a bit more. All I can say is that if .NET app...
Re: Weather
Hi Charles, yes, weather is coming in the next version, hopefully. There will be a button on the aircraft list so that you can simply copy the weather from whomever you like. For example, in a group, one person can have their weather engine connected and all other participants simply copy the weathe...

Re: V 1.0.0(Test) Crashes P3D
Hi Travis, Thanks for letting me know and thanks for your kind comments. The crash log may shed some light, I'll look into that. A couple of questions if I may: 1. Did it crash just once, more than once, or every time you ran it. 2. Do you mean that it doesn't crash at all with version 0.4.2 of Join...

Re: Multiplayer with Aircraft Substitution
Thanks, Robert.
This might be because you had the latest test version. There have been a couple of bug fixes to the model matching, so this could explain it.
Best regards,
Peter

Re: First Test complete
Hi, sounds great that the guns were working with TacPack. I really need to have a play with TacPack/Superbug - I installed it a while ago. I know that several others have used P3D without any problems so that may just be a coincidence. Perhaps it has more to do with the aircraft models they used. Wh...

Re: Question on Port Forwarding and IP-adresses
Just a thought, perhaps the loop twisting is tied to the model used in the sim.. I'm fairly sure it's to do with our old friend, gimbal lock. In which case it requires a bit of math or avoidance. I already do something to try to prevent it, but I think it needs tweaking. Thanks for the suggestion, ...

Not a problem, should be easy enough.mutley wrote: Maybe I can put in an enhancement request for the future? Can a rolling log file of the past two sessions be created reporting on what is shown in the monitor window? Perhaps switchable via a tick box in the help menu to help with debugging?

Re: Odd port numbers in Network View.
Hi Joe, Yes, others have seen this as well. It is to do with the type of router used. As I understand it, if port forwarding is enabled on 6112 then that is what you should see JoinFS using. However, perhaps there is some other issue with certain routers that prevents them from using the requested p...

Re: New Feature List
Will it run on a Raspberry PI3? Does it need anything really Microsoft stupid? Can we have a dropdown box for the JOIN IP list with a text window tied to it alongside to put meaningful names? Hi Bob, Great ideas. I was also thinking about some sort of drop down box and text names the other day. I'l...
