Possible Ransomware via the Mapsite
A user reported getting hit with ransomware when at the time he was looking at the map. He was alerted via McAfeee, restarted the PC, got the white screen of pay us money and so on..... After fixing it he went back to the map, got an alert from McAfee but his computer guy told him it was simply a wa...

X-Plane 11 question
Hi Peter, Hope the Holiday season treated you well. Just downloaded 1.1.1 and ready to give it a whirl. I (and quite a few others in our group) recently took the plunge and bought X-Plane 11. I do like it in many, many respects. Any thoughts on how difficult getting JoinFS working with XP-11 is goin...

Re: JoinFS multiplayer event 22 October 2016, 2100 EDT
Peter, Not getting email notifications of topic replies. It went okay. We had 11 pilots/users. -Mike had issues with the area wifi that he has. He had issues seeing others and visa versa. That resolved when Curz suggested that he tried to connect to one of the other users in the session via their IP...

Re: v1.0.5 - TEST
I have AT&T and must use an internal IP to connect. Until a recent move we had Google Fiber as an ISP. With Google I could use either to connect to things like this.

Re: v1.0.5 - TEST
Dan come by tonight at 20:00 CDT. We're doing some more testing. We're using Discord for voice. Our Discord link is on our web page at www.msflights.net.

JoinFS multiplayer event 22 October 2016, 2100 EDT
Our test group flight on Saturday went well with one exception. The link I provided to the voice program we use, Discord, was evidently broken. I have scheduled a second one for this Saturday the 22nd. We almost got to 20 with just our members. Perhaps if some others came by we could get to 40. For ...
Re: Bug List
Prior to v (TEST) 1.0.3, "Model Matching" yielded 12,000 models. There are that many because I have an addon AI traffic program. With v (TEST)1.0.3 I am only getting 1,495. I think it's no longer looking in all of the simobject folders listed in the primary flight sim cfg file (FSX.CFG, et...

Re: P3D and JoinFS 1.0.2-TEST
I have seen issues with the 1.0.2 (TEST) as noted in the Queries section. Last night we had 11 pilots on and experienced about 90-95% success with users seeing one another. Would like to really push this is see where it breaks and where it does not. Peter, thanks for the effort your putting into thi...

Re: New Feature List
I see that you have shared cockpit on the feature list. I recently had a conversation with the coders at a start up called TFDI. I asked them about the limit of two users in one model (aircraft, boat, etc...). I think the example that I provided how this wasn't a hard limit was TacPack (TP). In TP t...

Re: Inconsistent inability to see other users.
I actually have two locations that I can use flight sims at. Last night, at the second location I was able to use the same machine (machine 2) to connect to machine 1. I was able to see everyone except one pilot on both the list and the sim. Several users reported that they could not see me. I wasn'...

Re: Inconsistent inability to see other users.
Thanks for the quick work. v1.0.2 did not resolve the issue. In P3D I can still see people in the list as I should but they don't appear in the sim. This time I don't even see the a/c on the machine that initiated the session who's IP I used. It might be worth noting that I have to connect to that m...

Inconsistent inability to see other users.
We've seen some inconsistencies with other users being seen/not seen in the aircraft list box (list) and/or in the sim. In each instance when they are visable in the sim, they are visable in the list. In our testing environment we are using one machine in my home that is running FSX boxed and a crea...

JoinFS multiplayer event 15 October 2016, 2100 EDT
Off topic for "queries" but as this is the most active thread I thought I would post a link to an event that we've scheduled at msFlights.net for the purposes of pushing JoinFS with a lot of pilots.

I was with Travis when he was having issues with it. It crashed every time he ran v1.0 and did not crash at all when we used v0.42.

Re: IPv6 results in crash
Thanks for responding back. Yes. I didn't write it down but it led me to a port 6112 issue. This machine runs the Box edition FSX server for our community on a 24/7 basis. Basically two items on the machine were trying to use data from port 6112. I shut the FSX server/host session down, altered the ...

IPv6 results in crash
I get unhandled exception error when trying to connect. In the "My IP" box I see a IPv6 address. I know the converted IPv4 address but can't put it in there. Regardless whenever I click the JOIN button to join a session the result is an unhandled exception dialog box. Any ideas?
