Re: JFS & MSFS2020
Hi Bob, very well thanks. It certainly has been quite a while. :) That's a bit annoying that 2020 doesn't show labels. Do you know if they show when using vPilot? I assume you see labels with 2020's own multiplayer? The PlanG issue is likely to be related to PlanG. I'll have to check in my old vers...

Re: JFS & MSFS2020
I have just updated the TEST version of JoinFS with some fixes for FS2020 support. For details on installing the TEST version see this thread, https://pmem.uk/joinfs/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=491 To get this working I just had to do a workaround for enumerating the aircraft titles that FS2020 n...

Re: Engine cut v1.4.3
The feature in Carenado aircraft panels to cold and dark start or start taxi etc conflict with other aircraft in the session that are also Carenado (or Alabeo). Causes engine cut outs on network connection or attempted engine starts. Solution - DO NOT USE Carenado or Alabeo Model matches or substitu...

Re: Connection Problems and port numbers
This all sounds so familiar.
Pre this version we had NO issues and now I have had to abandon JoinFS as it simply does not let our group access the server I put up no matter what I do.
Shame as I have supported this.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Peter Jos et al, Server PC still running fine with JoinFS v1.1.6 (Test) and P3D v3.4 HF3 and VNC (I assume TV would be fine too). Consistent use for nigh on 1 week now. Thank you Peter for not giving up on this which has turned out to be a simple thing which we all may have a "doh" moment ...

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Peter, Jos,
Thumbs UP still.
After a group flight last evening ALL OK.
This has been the longest trouble free use
Still would like a few more days to be sure, to be sure - that's the Irish in me there !
Will continue to report.
Cheers,
BG2518-Bob.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Peter
40 Hours in and all still working - looking good.
We have a group flight tonight and that will be a further test of the server.
Cheers.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Hi again ATC Roo I understand why you listed your setup. As I said, your setup is NOT the same thing at all and NOT doing what I and TWO others (Jos and his friend) at least are doing and failing at. As far as "internet services" are concerned..... Chrome stops functioning (and frankly tha...

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
ATC Roo Hey, all inputs are welcome !! The spanner in any comparison that you suggest might be that your 24/7 LINUX server example is not the same as what we've been attempting as a server. Thus, not the same setup/scenario to start with. i.e. this IS the setup: WIN 10 O.S. JoinFS running NO flight ...

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
BTW
I will test your idea/suggestion that a sim running would stop this lockout happening.
It's not want I want to do obviously but it is a good test surely?
Plus perhaps Jos can try that also.
You know what, I get the feeling he was running the sim also actually - bugger, if true.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Peter, I am pleased you may have FOUND the problem with JoinFS i.e. it looking for an active sim running on the same computer. A simple option presumably would be to have an option for "True Server Use" i.e. with NO sim running as I and others would do presumably. I was a bit taken aback b...

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Oh Dear ..... 36 hrs in ...... I have no remote access. VNC Server (on the server pc) is not currently listening for Cloud connections. Same as when using Teamviewer. Also Chrome is NON-Functional Sorry Peter but JoinFS IS the culpret and I cannot use it as a server like this nor would I wish to use...

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Just updated to v1.1.6 TEST and am running this on server machine. Plus ditched Teamviewer in favour of VNC Server on Server PC and VNC Viewer on my machine. So I can still manage the server PC remotely. Will report on how the machine responds as time goes by. IF the machine stays up and running wit...

If you are still up and running?
What did you do to stop the lockouts.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Jos,
Do you still not get TV connections then either way that UDP tick is set?
That is to say does running JoinFS still have the same effect of locking out the PC?
Bob.

Re: 1.1.2 TCP Port Space Failure
Jos, I've been to almost 4 days before it locks !! The really odd thing is that without JoinFS there is no problem. As an aside..... I use on another PC (NOT THE SERVER PC) a program called VoiceAttack to convert my speech to commands in Win 10, all sorts of apps and even to P3D (it really is fun). ...
