Broadcast radius?
Broadcast radius?
What radius of area are objects broadcast over by the "Host/Server"? I see in the settings a "Circle of activity" slider. Does this control broadcasting or receiving?
Re: Broadcast radius?
This setting will affect which network objects are created within the simulator. Anything outside of this radius will appear in the aircraft list with "-" for the distance, but will not be injected into the simulator.
So, no it doesn't affect the broadcast of your own objects. Any object created by your simulator can be marked for broadcast, even if that circle setting is set to 4nm.
Do you think that setting should determine the broadcast radius as well. Would that be advantageous?

Re: Broadcast radius?
How hard would it be to add a slider for broadcast distance? It seems that the "Server" is only broadcasting objects within about a 25 nm radius of it's location. (Within the sim) It would be nice to be able to broadcast FSX@War objects within a radius of at least 200 nm of the server location. The objects are being received fine, but it is only the objects local to the server. Being able to reduce your "Receive" radius would still be a major plus.

Hi Peter,
Concerning FSXatWar/JoinFS interraction, please wait for our suggestions (should be soon). I would like to avoid you making things twice.
