Can create HUB-session but my friends are unable to see/connect

Hi,


Have some issue with HUD connection setup, I create an "HUB" session and looks fine in the hub window
Status = "online" and green.

But my friends is unable to connect or see my "HUB-session" in the Hub window.
- Have added port 6112 forwarding in my router/firewall.
- Enabled UPnP on my router/firewall
- disable private/public firewall on Flightsim Computer.
- P3D v3.4 and win10/64b.

Please advise,

Hi Søren,

What is the hub called and is it running at the moment?

Are they able to connect to your client directly?

Hi,

Its called "Norway_trip01", and yes its running now :-)

To info:
- no my friends are not able to connect directly either...
- have double check my Firewall, NAT/Port forwarding should be correct.

Hi,

just a qucik q, does the Local port needed to be "enable/ticked" on both the Server and my friends site ?

No, that local port option is purely related to your PC only.

If disabled it will default to 6112.

Ah, well the problem is your connection then.

What type of router do you have?

You need to make sure you do two things for port forwarding. Configure your PC so that is uses a static IP address. Then make sure that the same IP address is specified in your router Port Forwarding options, with UDP-only port 6112 to that address.

Hi Peter,

Thanks,..sorry seems I have defined port-forwarding using only TCP not UDP in my route/firewall !

Have now updated/change it to UDP only and will give it a new try, are there a way to check from
the server site that all is configured correct except from the hub-session window ?

I don't think so, the only real way to check that it's all set up correctly is to have someone, external to your local network, connect to your client. But really there's not a lot to set up other than what you've done already.

Yes think so :-), hnm can I test(as client only) with the joinFS "app" but without having any flightsim installed ?

Tried on a remote PC(internet), but seems it fails if not any flightsim is installed, or maybe there is an
"debug-mode" for testing porpuse only ?

Yes, you can run it on a PC without a simulator. The only requirement is that you install SimConnect 10.0.61259.0.

Can confirm it works perfectly, what a great tool for multiplayer :-) , we have now used it for several hours with
Steam and P3Dv3.4 no issue at all. Will donate to this project because this is exactly what we have been
looking for along time... (any plan to include Aerofly in the future?)
- super easy to install.
- super easy to use.

My Issue:
Was me had configure wrong Port-forwarding with TCP instead of UDP!

Glad it's all sorted.

I did actually contact Aerofly some time ago. I was kindly forwarded to their developers but have heard nothing back.

Perhaps if enough people expressed interest in JoinFS to the guys at Aerofly then something may happen, you never know.
