Hi, JoinfS crash after win10 updated it selfs to latest ver!!

Hi,

Today my win10 "forced" me to update to latest win10 version called something like "Win10 Creative", after this update
was done (took 30min).... I started JoinFS and it crash directly. Have any user exprerince the same ?

I had actual disable autoupdate in win10, but even then it forced the win10 updates trough
- It also crash my EFB and p3dv3. p3dv4 seems to work but alot addons are "crashed/damaged" as well...
- I think it has messed up some .net v3.5 and v2 during the update.

Have other experience the same ?

Hi,

sorry to hear that you are having problems after the Windows update. If other add-ons are also experiencing problems could it be due to an issue with SimConnect?

Sorry to come up with this after the damage is done - but I turned off my Windows 10 updates when I found out they were loading apps and other programs that I do not need or want to generate revenue. See how to do it here (a bit of bla bla bla in the beginning - scroll down about half way to see the part that you need):

Hi Peter,

Yes, it seems almost 80% of addons are broken into many "pieces"...unsure If I should roll back win10 (more mess)
or try some reinstall of addons, what do you thing guys, or start to troubleshooting, maybe sim-connect ?

If I decide to look into simconnect issue, any recommendation/advise Peter ?

Addons that are broken after update to this win 10 "creative" rev1703(stay away from this guys):
- JoinFS
- PMDG NGX
- FSUIPC
- Linda
- A2A c182
- EFB
- ezdok v2
- Spad-next

Plus some 5 to 8 other programs I use..

Didnt plan to spend time diag/troubleshooting the "da.." win10, win 10 has actual been 100% stable
since it was installed almost 2 years ago... (until this "cracy" update took "down" my pc and P3Dv4 as well!)


And Dan, thanks for the info, will follow you advise when my broken P3D v4 with all my addons are back
in bussines. hopefully in couple of weeks..

How about reinstalling the P3D version of SimConnect and also the legacy versions in the redist folder? I had a different minor problem that was fixed by doing this.
