Connection to my own server
Yo Peter, Since day one JoinFS has caused me minimal stress. 1.5.9T has changed that.
Before, I could join my server on my network either via the JoinFS window or via the hub. Today only via the hub. Trying to connect the 'AVSIM Saturday Flight' via the desktop window, a dialogue box tells me 'Invalid join address. Either select a friend or use an address in a format described in the manual'
The other server I use Digital Theme Park I can still join via the desktop.
Wassup?

Hi Ron,
Have you read this, viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1078
Basically you need to use the new address for that hub. Either ask the hub owner for the updated 'Me' address or tick the Friend box and it will add it to the Friends list. You may need to remove it from the friend list first, I think there is a minor bug with that tick box, but you should be able to add it. On the Friends list you'll see the new address.

Re: Connection to my own server
I am the owner of the hub. I've ticked every friend box I can find then some. On the client PC in the Friends window AVSIM Saturday Flight is listed and the address is the same as the server side PC
EDIT: Some progress. When I click on AVSIM---- instead of the dialogue box it tries to connect to one of the friends in the list. The sad part is he isn't on line!
What is the world's preoccupation with 'Friends'?

Your address for AVSIM is 09635 02429. That's what you need to use to connect. Are you connecting with version 1.5.9?

Not sure. Can you think of an alternative? I didn't think bookmark was quite the right word for it.

Shows as online for me. Are you on the same LAN as your hub?

It shows online for me too...In the Public Hubs window.
Yes it's how it has always been on a separate computer on the same network. Should I disable the port forwarding?

Re: Connection to my own server
Yes, but it also shows as online in my Friends list.
It's possibly related to being on the same LAN then, however I manage to connect two machines here. I'll just run a couple of tests.

Connected successfully to a hub on my LAN here.
Could you try connecting now, while I'm monitoring my own hub. I should pick up your connection request.

I tried to connect but it tried to connect to Gunter. Shall I do it again a few times?
EDIT: I tried 5-6 times + once to Digital Theme Park and final via the Public hubs.

Yes, please. Try it three times in a row. I should see something.

Re: Connection to my own server
Just so we're on the same page. I'm talking about joining using the main opening window of JoinFS That's the problem. Not joining using the Hub. That works fine.
Re: Connection to my own server
Yes, entering 09635 02429 in the join box and clicking Join.
Also make sure you can see "Peter" online in the hub list.

Success! It joined. Now will it keep that setting? I'll find out.
No it didn't.

Re: Connection to my own server
So it didn't join then? I'm getting confused now.
Can I check that your hub is using port 6112 and your other one is 1024?

I've tried so many things I've lost count. Now JoinFS doesn't retain that address. It's gone back to trying to connect to Gunter. Do you think they've got a thing going on?

Do you still have our Teamspeak server address?
Re: Connection to my own server
No, do you want to PM me with it?
