Hello!
I use JoinFS regularly for shared cockpit training sessions -- the lack of fuel burn was an issue in earlier versions but I believe it is fixed in 1.4.34?

Re: Shared Cockpit Locked Brakes
Hi Bryan, We have noticed that this seems to be an issue with the later versions of JoinFS and where one (or both) users are using a keyboard or joystick button for brakes as opposed to pedals/a joystick axis. Solutions: 1) Use an earlier version of JoinFS (1.4.3 does not seem to suffer from this af...

Re: Shared Cockpit supported Event ID's
Hi Niels, I'm sure Peter will correct me if I am wrong but it is my understanding JoinFS reads and synchronises only default P3D SDK variables. As a result, as a rule of thumb any aircraft which utilises any form of custom programming of gauges/systems which is outside the standard SDK will not sync...

A couple of small requests
Hi Peter, Hope you are well and thanks for the continued work on JoinFS which goes from strength to strength! Just a couple of small Shared Cockpit features that would be appreciated if you're able to add them at some stage: - Audio control panel settings are currently not synced (e.g. active COM ra...

Old test versions?
Hi Peter, Great to see JoinFS development back up and running again and looking forward to seeing what's to come! One question - is it possible to archive the "test" versions in a similar way to how it is possible to download past "stable" versions? The reason I ask is that I fin...

Re: Elevation Correction with x-plane?
Hi Peter, FYI had an odd experience with elevation correction this evening - I was running FSX-SE with test version .20 and the other pilot was running P3Dv4 with .18 On the ground when the other pilot had the controls there was a lot of jittering on my side and my aircraft was rolling when going ro...

Re: Shared Cockpit - Again
Hi Peter, One other thing which we've noticed cropping up more frequently in .13 are brake synchronisation issues where we are often seeing one or the other party's brakes either becoming jammed on or unusable (particularly with button control brakes rather than brake axes). I think it is more an is...

Re: Shared cockpit
Hi Elio(?) Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. I have to say that having experimented a bit I am now seeing what you are seeing with regard to the control permissions -- it appears that something is not quite synchronising properly there and needs looking in to. As you say, if you ha...

Re: Shared cockpit
What aircraft are you using? I have to say that my organisation is using the Shared Cockpit function for training purposes on an almost daily basis and we have not experienced the sort of issues you are describing, though the autopilot doesn't get much use. - if i give him all permissions , he can d...

Re: Engine cut v1.4.3
So are you saying that you are experiencing this when someone appears in your session - never mind what they're flying on their own machine -- as something other than a Carenado aircraft? All the reports you have listed in this thread have involved a Carenado aircraft being injected as multiplayer/A...

Re: 1.4.9 Shared Cockpit
Hi Peter,
Just to confirm all seems well in 1.4.12 and we are burning fuel again!
Thanks for the fix.
Best,
Simon

Re: 1.4.9 Shared Cockpit
Just to say this now seems fixed in 1.4.10/11. Thanks!
However, we're still not burning any fuel in the C172. Any chance you might be able to look at this?
Thanks again!
Simon

Re: Engine cut v1.4.3
But surely the solution is as you stated yourself above: don't allow the affected (i.e. Carenado) models to be injected as AI! Ensure that they are substituted for alternative models instead. That doesn't stop anyone from flying the Carenado model, it just means that in your session they must be dis...

Re: 1.4.9 Shared Cockpit
Hi Peter,
We've experienced it in several different combinations: FSX-SE to FSX-SE, FSX-SE to P3Dv2 and P3Dv4 to FSX-SE.
Cheers,
Simon

Re: 1.4.9 Shared Cockpit
FYI Peter -- a couple of our instructors have now noticed the throttle issue and sadly it makes things pretty unflyable, so we've had to roll back to 1.4.3 for now.
Will keep an eye out on upcoming beta versions etc!

1.4.9 Shared Cockpit
Hi Peter, Flown three lessons in 1.4.9 so far: The good news is that the odd behaviour we were seeing with the alternator and magneto switches desynchronising seems much better. However: A couple of times now I have experienced issues with throttle (and to a lesser extent, mixture) desynchronisation...

Re: Engine cut v1.4.3
As a thought: It seems to me that this is not a JoinFS issue, but rather a Carenado issue -- vPilot users were having similar problems and the resolution, as far as I can establish, has been to ensure that Carenado aircraft are not injected as "AI" to represent other users, instead substit...

'Static' Encoded IP?
Hi Peter, A thought which has sprung to mind: is there any possibility that the 'encoded' IP address could be somehow linked to the JoinFS instance (a little like a TeamViewer ID, for instance) so that it could remain static even if the real IP changes? I appreciate this might not be feasible but it...
