Re: Scan for Models problem
Peter, Sorry to report that the new "long path enabled" JoinFS 2.2.3T did not do the trick. Steve's workaround (3 posts above), ending the Packages pointer with "...\*.*" and then inserting into the additional search box all the aircraft packages and addon livery packages does ge...

Re: Scan for Models problem
Steve and Peter, Well, Steve's partial solution now works (mostly) on my heretofore resistant file system. First, I pointed the 'Flight Simulator Packages' folder as Steve suggested "...\LocalCache\Packages\*.*" Then I can paste into the "Other folders to scan:" box the explicit ...

Re: Scan for Models problem
Peter (and Steve), I tried copying the MB-339 here: F:\Addons MSFS\A_Aeromacchi MB-339_IFE The JoinFS scan produces 36 models as before. Not picking up the MB-339. Then, to keep the pathway really short, I copied the Vertigo here: F:\Vertigo (the full address of the aircraft.cfg is F:\Vertigo\SimObj...

Re: Scan for Models problem
Hi Peter, I am the same situation as Danny (RCFlyer). When I point to the " ... \Packages" folder, I get the 36 models. F:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-2268996188-221557149-865940393-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages When I explicitly add the &quo...

Re: MSFS 2020 Add-on aircraft list
Hi Peter, I looked through a bunch of "not-scanned" aircraft packages (Just Flight Arrow III, ATS Piaggio P-149D, IndiaFoxtEcho MB-339, Sim Skunkworks G-91) as well as some independently produced paints. In each case the JoinFS View|Aircraft title was the same as the aircraft.cfg title. As...

Re: MSFS 2020 Add-on aircraft list
Peter (and Steve), Very quickly. This is exciting. Empowering JoinFS to handle non-default aircraft and liveries in Microsoft Flight Simulator (MFS or MSFS2020) would be a game changer. You ask for the "title name as it appears in JoinFS aircraft list". Hmm. We would very much like to help...

Re: JoinFS 1.7.4
Peter. Quickly and back with more. The inquiry was to see if we could maintain the current work-around. I shall return in a bit after thinking some more. (Dangerous, that.) Mike

JoinFS 1.7.4
Peter, with MFS (2020) the new v1.7.4 version of JoinFS scanning seems to wipe out and replace the previous " models - Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.txt " rather than augmenting it. This has at least one drawback. Our group has developed the practice of introducing models of other aircra...

Thanks to Peter
Love to give a tip of the cap to Peter for his wonderful efforts in building JoinFS into the formidable tool that it is today. Our community, of online simulation pilots, has much to be thankful for. Kudos!

JoinFS Model Identification Entries?
Hi Peter, Just curious. What are the JoinFS model identification entries? Asking so that we can mimic these properly and share them in preparation before a JoinFS session. Can guess that the first ones are: title= ui_manufacturer= ui_type= texture= but don't know the last one. For example "Sing...
