Need help diagnosing "disappearing aircraft"

We fly a weekly session with our own server, and sometimes one or two people disappear from the session. Disconnect-connect and theyr'e back, but the same person then is likely to "drop off" again later. No idea what causes this. Everyone is using the same version of JoinFS, and this problem has existed already since a few versions ago. Typically it is a specific person and the "victim" (the one losing the other from the session) is also the same.
How do we troubleshoot this?

Which version are you currently using?
Try looking at the Monitor view and checking the logs to see if there are any errors there.

We have found (after MANY hours of testing!) that if someone is missing, disconnecting JoinFS from their sim and reconnecting usually allows them to reappear.

@Peter: Up until 1.5.3, as of today flying with 1.5.4, and nobody has disappeared yet. (knock on wood)
@RotorRick: Yes, that is what we do, but the problem returns after a while.
