Hi. I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but I need your help.
I'm trying to run ESJFS, but nothing happens. I installed it into My Documents, I've tried loading as administrator and attempted to go through the compatibility trouble shooter. I double click the file and it just sits with the loading symbol for a few seconds and nothing happens.
Windows 10, latest version.
Thanks
ESJFS Won't Open
Re: ESJFS Won't Open
ESJFS doesnt need any type of installation.
But it must be run from the folder you extracted.
Ie all files must be in the same folder.

Re: ESJFS Won't Open
That's understood, I am opening it from the folder in which it is installed into. Nothing happens, just appears with the 'loading' symbol.
Re: ESJFS Won't Open
This sounds like anti virus software is blocking ESJFS because it thinks it's a virus.
Do you get the windows firewall exception window asking if you want to allow ESJFS through your firewall?
Are you running anti virus software?

Re: ESJFS Won't Open
I immediately uninstalled McAfee when I purchased my computer, and windows defender is turned off. ESJFS worked for me last year on the same device.
Re: ESJFS Won't Open
And no I'm not getting asked if I'm sure I want to run.
Re: ESJFS Won't Open
Does Windows Event Viewer shine any light on what is stopping the app from opening?
It's been a while since I looked at the app.
I'm not sure if SimConnect needed to be installed or not.
Do you have a sim installed?

Re: ESJFS Won't Open
Event viewer isn't showing anything. I just feel like it's incompatible with the latest version of Windows. I have X-Plane 11 installed.
Re: ESJFS Won't Open
I think it'll be because it's looking for SimConnect which is used for the FSX/P3D option.
Get SimConnect from here it's only small.
Run the .msi in the XPACK folder and ESJFS should work.
Off the top of my head I wrote ESJFS with .net 4.5 so the latest windows is probably using .net 4.8 which is fine.
