Re: Installing ver 14 and 20 simultaneously

Hi Bob, Next week we are likely to all be using 1.0.21 so there shouldn't be a problem. I'm not sure why your 1.0.14 didn't work. Make sure that you run the right icon on the desktop. "JoinFS" for the stable version 1.0.14 and "JoinFS (TEST)" for version 1.0.20. Anyway, won't be ...

Re: Upcoming Events

Hi Dan,

Must be to do with the installer I'm using. I have Windows 10 and both versions installed ok.

Have you tried uninstalling both versions first and then installing them again? That should hopefully fix it.

Re: Network problem

Interesting. I made some network changes in version 18, but have no problems here. Is the IP address that you are connecting to definitely running 1.0.20? If you are connecting to someone's server, they may not be running that version. Is anyone else experiencing connection problems with 1.0.18 or l...

Are you both using 1.0.20? What version were you using before?

Thanks,

Re: Upcoming Events

Hi Dan, just updated to version 1.0.20. Sorry, but I doubt that you'll be that surprised ;) It's only a minor update in 20. I found a small problem with the substitution switching between airplanes and helicopters. By the way, version 14 is incompatible with 20. You won't be able to connect one to t...

Re: Upcoming Events

Hi Dan, You don't need to roll back to 1.0.14. Both the stable and test versions can co-exist on your PC. There will be two icons on your desktop, the test version will have (TEST) next to it. The current versions are 1.0.14 and 1.0.19 for stable and test, respectively. If 1.0.19 proves to be ok, th...

Version TEST-1.0.19 released

A new test version has been released, available at http://pmem.uk/joinfs/development.html

Fixes a bug from the recent version 1.0.18

This build is a candidate for the new stable build and will hopefully be in use for the Christmas Lapland event.

Re: Latest visbility issues.

Hi Dean, The good news is that I actually fixed that particular error message a couple of days ago. The fix was in version 18. However, as you might have seen on the News forum, I had to pull version 18 because I discovered a serious bug in it tonight, so the website is now back to version 17. I'll ...

Re: About Join Cockpit

There is no option in the settings. On the menu bar of the main window, click on View and then Pilots. This will open the pilot list. Then click on View and Aircraft. This will open the aircraft list. Then follow the instructions in my previous post. Let me know if you're still having problems. Peter

Re: Just saying Hi

Hi Wood, Thanks very much for your first post. Yes, I'd like to make sure that JoinFS is as compatible as possible with VRS and FSX@war, that will be a great thing to have working well. So keep your eye on the forum and hopefully there will be some updates on that over the coming months. Best regard...

1.0.18 test version temporarily removed.

Found a problem with 1.0.18 test version, so I've rolled back to 1.0.17 for now.

Sorry about, will hopefully have 18 out soon.

Sorry, I did not quite understand this post, and the googe translation is bad on this post. Is it possible to share the cokpit with another player and how to proceed precisely. Thank :) For person A to enter person B's cockpit: Person B opens the pilot list and ticks the Share Cockpit box for perso...

Re: Shared Weather Issue

Hi Stéphane, Yes, you're right, the weather is directly copied using an interpolated metar. The initial requirement for this was to make sure that in formation flights everyone has exactly the weather. However, since adding the additional once-only update with the Copy Weather button, that now suffi...

Re: Radar Custom callsign

Hi Ben, thanks for trying out JoinFS. Roo probably has a better answer for setting up the ATC side than I do. But, have you enabled the ATC mode in the settings window, available from the File menu, and entered the ICAO for the airport? You may have already done that, but thought I'd check. Best reg...

Re: cross-platform JoinFS

Thanks for the information. I'm only using .Net 2.0 so hopefully it will port with relative ease. It will be well into the new year though before I get a chance to look at it. There's still plenty of things to do before that. :)

Best regards,

Hello,

Windows Forms: Yes
ASP.NET: no
ADO.NET: no

I'm not currently evaluating the cross-platform aspects of it, but may well do so in the future.

Thanks,
