Re: VR Jitter

Not looked at it yet, sorry. Having some work done to the house, so am away from the computer a lot at the moment. Going to be looking at changing the position updates to every frame soon, so that should improve it.

Re: The Join FS plugin does not install X-Plane

Works on the latest version of X-Plane 11 and has done for a few years.

Could you try disabling other plugins temporarily to see if X-Plane then picks up JoinFS.

Keep checking the Log.txt because that will have a message showing when it successfully starts the JoinFS plugin.

Re: The Join FS plugin does not install X-Plane

Do you have other plugins installed under the plugins folder that do work?

This is the first time that I have heard of this problem. Double check your folder names, case sensitivity etc.

Re: Software integration query/permission request.

Hi Bobby, Thanks for getting in touch. I am happy for you to use JoinFS as you wish in its released form. As you say, the license prohibits distributing any of the contents of the installer separately, or charging for it. But if you want to automate things to make life a bit easier for the user then...

Re: The Join FS plugin does not install X-Plane

Hi, Did you install the plugin using the button in the JoinFS settings? Make sure you specify the root X-Plane folder. Afterwards you should see a file called <x-plane>\Resources\plugins\JoinFS\64\win.xpl If it still fails then try installing the C++ module using the button in the JoinFS settings. P...

Re: JoinFS Installer Issues

Finally got it resolved. I had to revert to using the Microsoft pgm fixer https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d That did find issues, resolve them and the removed the pgm from the system. I was...

Re: JoinFS Installer Issues

The 3.1.6 shouldn't interfere with the JoinFS-FS2020 one. They should be able to coexist on the system.

Re: JoinFS Installer Issues

I would not have thought that you would need the original installer. Everything required to uninstall should already be on the machine.

Have you tried uninstalling all instances of JoinFS from the machine in the Windows control panel?

Re: JoinFS Installer Issues

A couple of thoughts. Does he have some extra antivirus software installed. Perhaps that is removing the installation file. It seem to be installing directly from the browser's temporary downloaded file. Rather than opening the downloaded file straight away, how about manually moving JoinFS-FS2020.m...

Re: Volunteer required (macOS)

Not connected to it yet but it appears to be running OK in console mode on my MBPro M1 in a Terminal window. Would be nice when you run the console version if the local Magic Number people would use to connect with was displayed/logged somewhere. Also the Linux/Mac versions creates some interesting...

Re: JoinFS arrives on the Raspberry Pi

The script runs fine from a shell. I've never done any dotnot programming on Windows let alone Linux and I'm assuming it's something to do with the dotnet environment not being correct. Has anyone got any tips to run joinfs with the system boot (and preferably not as root)? TIA You can see from the...

Re: JoinFS arrives on the Raspberry Pi

1.) Will add that for the next version, thanks. 2.) It may take a few minutes to show up. I notice that you mention a second computer. If you have more than one computer set up then you will need to use port forwarding on the router for the second machine. For example set the port to 6113, use a sta...

Re: Vers. 3.2.3: Massive "artefacts"

That sounds about right. If the generated models aren't suitable then just use any CSL models you can find on the web. If I ever find the specification for XPlane ACF files then I might be able to improve the generator. I tried doing the liveries as well but the amount of data generated was massive....

Re: JoinFS arrives on the Raspberry Pi

For now, I would just wait for the next build and then see where we are at that point. Things should be better with the changes previously mentioned.
