Re: Scan for Models problem

There is still an issue with scanning MSFS2020 models. As other have said, I can't get a successful scan without checking the addon boxes and then only get 36 models and none of my community aircraft. I have tried various folder changes with no success. I am using the most current version of JoinFS ...

Weather Injection/Sharing

I run P3DV4.3 and use either of two weather engines, ASP4 or OPUS5. When using either of these weather engines to inject weather into P3D I an unexpected wind direction and speed indication in JoinFS. The indication I am speaking of is the one listed with my aircraft when I open the Aircraft view. T...

Re: Vatsim and JoinFS - How to?

Ok. So, the aircraft I will see will be the ones that are from JoinFS and Vpilot, except for the duplicates which I have told JoinFS to ignore. Hmmm, certainly not the cleanest situation.

I think I understand now. Thanks.

Re: Vatsim and JoinFS - How to?

I see. So, one is connected to two servers, VATSIM through Vpilot, and a JoinFS server via JoinFS. One will see aircraft from both servers. So I need to identify and "ignore" the Vpilot duplicates. Which program, Vpilot or JoinFS, control model matching? I would prefer JoinFS have the mode...

Vatsim and JoinFS - How to?

I have seen some discussion concerning using Vatsim and JoinFS together. I don't understand how to do that. Ifly with a VA that uses Vatsim. Vatsim Vpilot has a problem model matching flyable helicopters while JoinFS works very well. So, could someone detail how one would use JoinFS and Vatsim (Vpil...

Outstanding! Ready to test if you need someone to do so. I fly in VR with Flyinside, so would be able to test presence of window import into VR cockpit as well.

Re: Authentication in JoinFS

Will the system allow one to change channel by changing the radio frequency within the sim? This capability would be similar to a addon program written for TS.

Re: Status of Xplane support?

Sounds great, Peter. I know there is a large group of XP folks over at Hovercontrol that would like to join the rest of us heli flyers on JoinFS.

Thanks for the reply....Danny

Status of Xplane support?

Peter:

Is development of Xplane support on-going? I had a question from a fellow simmer today about using JoinFS.

Thanks

Re: Multiplayer Voice

No, that is not how to works. You have to setup channels with whatever frequencies you wish to be available. So, if you are the server owner/admin, you would setup channels for the frequencies you wish to use. For example, if I wish to have radio frequencies available for ground, tower, and CTAF I w...

Re: Multiplayer Voice

For those looking for a 64 bit TS comms program I suggest BFSGSimCom64. I tried today in 64 bit Win 10 and the newest TS and it worked well.

Re: Multiplayer Voice

Peter: I have installed this software, but, don't completely understand how to set it up in TS. I assume you create, within in TS, a home channel, then create sub-channels with radio frequencies. Something like this: KOLM 135.725 - ATIS 124.400 - Tower 121.600 - Ground 122.800 - UNICOM Or something ...

There is also BFSGSimCom64. It is actively being updated/managed and works with TS3. Information can be obtained here:

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps

Thanks. Do whatever you need to do with the database as far as resetting and such. I was just trying to understand the data logging capabilities of the map. Some folks I fly with like to keep track of their flight time, much like a pilot's log. The multiplayer server/map they currently use keeps a r...

Re: Whazzup and JoinFS Maps

Is the flight time logged per pilot callsign such that one could track cumulative time on the server per pilot across multiple flights? Or is the flight time just tracked during the active flight?

I am curious if flight time tracking is available to feed a pilot log book if you will.

Thanks,

Danny

Peter: I was flying last evening with another fellow and noticed an elevation issue. He was using FSX Steam and I was using P3dV3.4. We were at Hood River, Or, airport on the ground. When I was on the ground he was about 6 feet in the air. We also experienced this issue a couple days ago at Port Har...

I believe the recorded aircraft were static. I asked the person who made the recording if he had turned the recording off and he said yes.
