It maybe that it's taking its time to find the initial frequency when in SCX mode at the moment.
I'll have a look very soon.

Also untick Upnp as you're not using Upnp according to the log.

The Good news is that I've got internet for 10mins so I've fixed it for now.

This stemed from a temporary backup to do with the Simcom X backend, which I had in place at the moment.

There will be an update in the near future.

Sorry for any inconvenience but should be fine now.

Roo,

Having issues trying to connect to the new version 2.2.2.7. When attempting to connect as host, the power button does not come on and in the message box it just shows attempting to connect to com1. Works correctly in SCX mode. Tried uninstalling with no luck. Had to revert back to version 2.2.2.5 to connect.

Thanks Tony,
I'll remove 2.2.2.7 shortly as I'm making some major changes to the whole thing.

I'll leave 2.2.2.5 as the current until the new version is ready.

Roo,

This is a great program! With my sim we use multiple controllers (Stick, Throttle) when setting the PTT to button 2 it recognizes it on both controllers
causing it to occasionally Reverse the PTT. Is it possible to add a controller select drop box like the sound and mic?

That sounds a bit strange, as you'd think that the both controllers would trigger each others actions?

Which controllers are you using?

I'm in the middle of rewriting the simcom X pilot client so it will work with a ATCO voice panel I'm also writing.

I haven't had much time over the last few years, but I'll double check the PTT issue as I start to put it all back together.

I can't give you a time frame I'm afraid, but I will be as quick as I can.

Wow such a quick reply thank you!

I'm using the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Set both Stick and Throttle.

I'm looking forward to the new client when you get it finished can't wait!

thanks again your help through the forums have been amazing to have.

Edit... I was looking into why Com 1 on my Xplane client wouldn't connect and found that the plane I'm flying (Flight Advantage T-6)
uses different references for the UHF freq
cjs/texanii/radios/uhf_freq_10hz
cjs/texanii/radios/uhf_standby_freq_10hz
instead of the standard sim/radio... Is there anywhere that I can swap it XPUIPC side that anyone knows of?

I don't/haven't tinkered with Xplane.

You may be able to simply copy the contents of a vhf_freq_10hz and vhf_standby_freq_10hz from another aircraft you have and rename the files to uhf_freq_10hz and uhf_standby_freq_10hz

Let us know if that works incase others find it useful.

Sadly I wasn't able to get it to work. :( I'm only going to be using P3D moving forward so it's no big deal now.

Has anyone had an issue with being unable to transmit? I can set the PTT no problem but when I hit it right after it doesn't transmit...
in between 14:45 and :46 i see a fail is that it? Any help would be appreciated!

Ok I did a bit more testing with another headset. I still get the one or more not detected error on all headsets I connect.
I receive just fine can't transmit. I assume the Microphone setting isn't connecting but I'm not sure what to do to try and fix it.

SIMCOM X V3.

FIRSTLY IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PREVIOUS VERSIONS!
Works very much similar to the previous version.

Key features...
I've moved away from the TS3 SDK and it's now built using UDP sockets.

This means there is no user limit (the old version had a 30 user limit in group mode).

Most data sent is encrypted, not because it's needed but because it's easy enough to do. So I did.

Can be used by those hiding behind a VPN.

Each user connects to another user directly.

It has a volume control for both radios.

Active ATC now shows in group mode and in SCX mode as it did before.

Voice quality should be similar to a real radio.

Its recommended clients forward the relevant UDP port (selectable in the app), although I've added a few different bits of trickery to help those that dont know what a port forward is.

Because of this the app may take longer than you think to turn on, but should simply just work for those that haven't forwarded a port.
Hopefully it'll work out of the box for people.

If it does or doesnt work for you than please let me know and the ATC VCCS isn't far behind.

Autoswitch for the various Sims should work as before.

A basic how it works..
Everytime a user connects to another user, they ask for all the clients that user is connected to.
They then connect to all those clients.

So for SCX mode just select the SCX mode box in the config and click the power button.

Group mode users...
Always have the Group mode selected in config.
On the main screen enter the IP and Port of another group user (IP and Ports can be checked at the start of the log) and click power on.

Group users do not all need to enter the same IP and Port. As long as the IP and Port is that of somebody already connected to the group.

Type HELP in the chat window for a small list of commands.

Hey Roo,

Tried attempted to try the beta version of SIMCOM, however when I attempted to select FSX or Auto Com switch it would not hold the selection. It would check the box the clear the box by itself. Hope this helps.

Hi Tony,

I appreciate the feedback.
The FSX autoswitch will work when I make it the release version with the installer. It'll probably be because it can't find the Simconnect.dll at the moment as we're running the app from the downloaded folder.

As long as the app starts and you're able to talk to others it should be good to go.

The idea of the new version is that users don't need to forward ports etc.
