Hi everyone, good day
Im having a problem with uninstalling joinFs from my PC in order to install a newer version.
Went into USERS, MY USER, APP DATA, LOCAL and deleted Join Fs folder.
Went into PROGRAMS 86, deleted Join Fs folder.
Started the joinFs Setup Wizzard and run it, and selected uninstall.
I assume that doing all that there is no more registry of joinFs on my PC.

When I try to run the new joinFs Setup Wizzard of the newer version, and when I start the shortcut on my desktop every data shows up like there is somthing left in the program.......it should ask me to put in the new data from scratch

Many thanks for your comments guys
Blessings
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

That is a really bad way to uninstall any Windows program.

You need to go to the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall Programs. Right-click on JoinFS and select uninstall. That is how you uninstall any Windows program. Hopefully if you do that it should clean up. But it may have problems because you have manually deleted all the files that it would have been expecting to find.

Thanks Peter for your answer, very appreciated
I tried it the way that you describe at the very first time, than I installed the new version but it was still populating the data on the joinFs little screen. The screen for joinFs freezes and I cant do anything....
After that and because it did not work I deleted the folders manually as well.
What can I do to get this to work again ??
Kindly
Bruno

Oh, ok. When you install it does it not give an option to reinstall it? You could try looking on google for how to manually remove a Windows application.

Alternatively you could try installing and using the Beta version, which installs as a separate Windows program.

Hi dear Peter
What I did in this moment was to go to my external drive where I have all my backups.
Copied the files I deleted first into programs 86 and into my user appdata and installed the very first joinFs that I had in my backup as well.
Than I deleted it from delete programs and after that I reinstalled the newer version....
It works perfect now........
Many thanks for helping...
Big hug and have a nice day...
Bruno

Great, sounds like a good plan and glad to hear that it worked after all that.

Happy flying!
