XP11 and P3Dv4 users

Post by ProAvia »

I am running JoinFS 3.0.8 on a spare laptop so there is a common connect point for my users (default port 6112). The laptop runs 24/7.

I also run JoinFS and P3D on my desktop (port 6121). Router is configured to forward 6112 to laptop and 6113-6122 to desktop.

I have an XP11 user who connect successfully - he (in XP11) can see my aircraft but I (in P3Dv4) cannot see his aircraft. He has forwarded ports 6112-6122 in his router.

On my end
In Sessions, I see his nickname listed.
In Aircraft, I only see my aircraft listed. He is not listed.

On his end
In Sessions, he see my nickname listed.
In Aircraft, he sees my aircraft listed and his.

Any chance there are ports that one or both of us needs to forward, besides those listed above?
Is there something one or both of us are doing wrong?

Thanks for any assistance!

Have you both configured the router port forwarding to "UDP-only"? It's important to use that option.

And I take it that you are using static IP addresses on all machines?

make sure you have AI planes on so you can see your friend
check the distances in settings. I have active reach on 300m and follow distance at 20m. if they are set to narrow, you won't see your partner
